Our Masters Week will take place between Monday 10 June and Friday 14 June 2024. Each session will involve a short presentation from our Postgraduate team, followed by the chance for you to ask questions. All sessions will feature a current Masters student to provide a student point of view.
Sessions will be relaxed and informal, hosted through Zoom webinars. You won’t need a webcam or microphone, and you can type your questions to our experts and current students. You can join as many sessions as you like.
These sessions will cover the types of Masters and postgraduate taught courses we offer at Sussex. We’ll look at the differences between the various qualifications available, how they differ from undergraduate degrees, how they’re taught, and what an average day looks like.
At Sussex we offer a range of generous scholarships and awards that might be more accessible than you think. In these sessions we’ll cover our main scholarships and how to apply, as well as other funding routes such as the Masters Loan and the Alternative Guide to Funding.
If you have any questions on the application process or how to write a personal statement these sessions will answer them. We’ll cover entry requirements, how to apply, references, personal statements, tuition fee deposits, and deadlines.
Hear what Masters study is really like from the people who know best, our current students. Our students will discuss their real-life experiences of studying a Masters, including how they fund their studies, the difference between postgraduate and undergraduate study, and life in Brighton. They will also be available to answer any questions you have about life as a Masters student.
If you haven’t visited our campus before, this session will guide you through all that our campus has to offer. Situated in the beautiful countryside of the South Downs National Park, just outside of the vibrant city of Brighton & Hove, our campus is the perfect place to study. In this session we’ll talk about life on campus, the support services we offer and where to live as a Masters student.
Masters study can provide an excellent opportunity to move into a new direction and a number of our courses allow entry for students who haven’t previously studied in that area. These sessions will cover these courses and how you can apply, as well as the career support we offer for all our postgraduate students.
