Autumn teaching

You explore the aims and objectives of organisations and investigate why some businesses thrive in the marketplace, while others struggle. 

You look at the reasons for firms moving abroad, the difference between a global and multi-domestic industry, and explore how companies manage strategic change from one type of global strategy to another. 

During the module you: 

  • explore international and global strategy
  • develop your strategic thinking in a global context
  • gain an understanding of strategy formulation and implementation
  • study competing arguments behind a number of strategic approaches.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 117 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology.
