The neuroscience of consciousness

Projects within my research group cover many areas of cognitive neuroscience, computational neuroscience, and consciousness research. Current projects involve measuring emergence in complex (neural) systems, developing computational models of perceptual phenomenology (computational phenomenology), testing active inference theories of perception and consciousness, measuring ‘perceptual diversity’ in large populations, investigating stroboscopically-induced visual hallucinations, exploring how trait suggestibility (phenomenological control) shapes conscious experiences, measuring information flow in the neural dynamics underlying perception, and more.
