Biography
MA DPhil (Oxford) MSc Econ (LSE)
Alan Mayhew is an economist specialising in problems of economic transition and integration in central and eastern Europe as well as economic policy and budgetary issues in the European Union. As Jean Monnet Professor he runs the Wider Europe Research Programme with Nat Copsey. He has wide practical experience in advising governments in the region. He also advises Janusz Lewandowski, Polish Member of the European Commssion.
