Module Outline
The module emphasises practical techniques and apprentices will be introduced to appropriate software packages (within the Python programming language).

• Finding image structure
• Feature descriptors
• Object detection and segmentation
• Tracking and active vision
Module learning outcomes
Express originality in the application of knowledge through writing and documenting a computer program to extract useful information from image data.
Initiate original designs for simple computer vision systems.
Demonstrate the applicability of a variety of computer vision techniques to practical problems.
Evaluate methodologies and recognise the effects of a variety of image processing operations.
