Free Flu Vaccinations for Sussex Staff

With winter fast approaching, flu season will soon be upon us. As a key public health measure, getting your flu vaccination is more important than ever. Many of you will already have received, or are eligible for, a free flu vaccine.

For those not eligible for a free NHS vaccine, we’ve arranged for our Occupational Health Provider, Heales, to offer flu vaccinations at ’s Sports Centre in the Activities Room during October and November.

Key Points to Note:

• . This should be the primary option for booking your flu vaccine, even if you have been sent a reminder from the University pharmacy. You will not be required to make any payment in advance.

• University Pharmacy: If no appointments are available with Heales, please book at the which is based on campus.

Vaccines have been ordered through Heales and the University Pharmacy for university staff, and it’s important these are used as they cannot be stored for future years.

• Other Pharmacies: please only obtain your flu jab from other pharmacies once all Heales and University Pharmacy vaccines have been used.
• NHS Free Vaccine: If you are eligible for a free flu vaccine through your GP or NHS, we encourage you to use this service.
